know whether to cancel yourself or contact the venue when you can't come, and what happens to the deposit.
Case A: deposit not transferred yet (status “Awaiting deposit”)
- On the booking card, tap “Cancel booking…” under the slip form
- Already transferred → tap “Paid, attach slip”; the box closes and the slip picker opens right away
- Not sure → tap “Close”
→ A red box “Cancel this booking? The table frees up for others immediately. This cannot be undone” with three buttons - Tap “Confirm — not paid, release the table”
Releasing the table yourself does not count as an abandoned booking, so it never counts towards a phone block — unlike simply letting the time run out
→ The status becomes “Cancelled” with “You cancelled this booking and the table was released — you can book again any time”
If you're not coming, always tap “Cancel booking…” yourself
Case B: deposit already transferred (“Under review” or “Confirmed”)
You cannot cancel yourself. Contact the venue with the contact buttons at the bottom of the card and give your booking code. Staff cancel it and the card shows “This booking was cancelled by the venue (note from the venue)” — the deposit is not refunded under the system's rules; any refund is at the venue's discretion and happens outside the system
Changing the date instead of cancelling
There is no reschedule button. Ask the venue to cancel and book the new night for you by hand (agree the deposit with the venue)
- You had transferred part of the deposit and then cancelled — the table is not released right away; the booking goes to the venue for review (the card says “Cancelled — you had transferred part of the deposit…”) and the venue will contact you about that money
Case C: free booking (no deposit)
At a venue with a 0 deposit (the venue page says "Free booking, no deposit") your card is "Awaiting check-in" right away, with no transfer step — you can cancel it yourself until the venue's release time for that night (20:00 by default; the button shows it).
- On the booking card tap “Not coming? Cancel booking (until …)” under the save button→ A red box “Cancel this booking? The table frees up for others at once and this cannot be undone” with the line “You can cancel yourself until … — cancelling does not count as a no-show”
- Tap “Yes, cancel booking”→ Status becomes “Cancelled” with “You cancelled this booking. The table has been released — you can book again any time”
Once the release time has passed and the venue releases the table, that is one no-show. Reaching the venue's limit in a row (2 by default) blocks your number for a while (7 days by default); checking in once clears the count. After the release time the button disappears — contact the venue instead ("The release time for this night has passed, so it can no longer be cancelled here. Please contact the venue").
