know whether to wait, contact the venue, or book again when the card says “Under review” or “Slip rejected”.
The system confirms a slip automatically when it was transferred to the venue's account · for at least the deposit · after booking · and never used before. A slip paid to another account, for less than the deposit, or transferred before you booked (an old slip) is rejected immediately and you are asked for a new one (Case 3); anything else goes to staff for review (Case 1).
Case 1: the card says “The table is still yours — waiting for the venue to check your slip”
The amber banner says “Usually within a few hours. Reopen this page before you set off · Urgent: contact the venue with your slip” — venues without automatic verification have staff check every slip; nothing is wrong with yours.
A blue banner “Slip received — verification is temporarily unavailable” means the venue's automatic checker has a temporary problem (down, quota exhausted, or the bank has not confirmed the transfer yet). It retries by itself every 5 minutes — don't resend the slip.
- Nothing more to do — the table is still yours→ This status never expires on its own; the venue decides
- Reopen the booking link before you set off→ If it now says “Confirmed”, just come
- Getting close and still unchanged → contact the venue with the “Contact the venue” buttons and send the slip
Tell the venue your 6-character “Booking code” (top left of the card)
→ Staff can approve it from their slip queue right away
Common reasons the system could not confirm by itself: the venue has not synced its account with the slip checker yet · the venue's slip checker down or out of quota (it retries by itself for about a day and a half) · the bank has not confirmed the transfer yet · a partial deposit arrived and the payment window ran out
Case 2: the card says “Slip failed verification: …”
The venue rejected the slip; the reason it chose follows (e.g. “Invalid slip”, “Amount too low”, “Transferred to another account”, “Old / reused slip”). The table is free for others immediately. “Old / reused slip” can also come from the system itself, when it later finds that the slip had already confirmed another booking.
- Not actually transferred, or to the wrong account → tap “Book again” (before the booking cutoff) and transfer correctly · “Transferred to another account” and “Old / reused slip” can come from the system itself as soon as the venue's slip checker answers
- Transferred correctly but rejected → contact the venue with your slip; staff can book for you and record the amount received
- A deposit already transferred is between you and the venue — the system does not refund automatically
Case 3: a red message after sending (the slip was not accepted)
| Message | Meaning | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| We could not read the slip. Please upload the full slip with the QR clearly visible | The QR on the slip could not be read (cropped, blurry, not a slip) | Screenshot the full slip from the banking app and attach again (3 attempts) |
| This slip has already been used to confirm another booking | The same slip (same reference) already confirmed another booking | Attach the slip of the correct transfer — transfer again if needed |
| Too many failed slip uploads. Please contact the venue | Three unreadable slips in a row | Contact the venue with your slip so staff can check it |
| The payment window and grace period have ended and the table was released. If you already transferred, contact the venue with your slip | Both the window and the grace period are over | Paid → contact the venue with the slip · not paid → book again |
